Microblading is the artistic skill of tattooing individual hair strokes with a handheld tool called a microblade. Unlike traditional tattooing, which uses a machine, microblading artists hand draw each hair to match the color and coarseness of your eyebrows.

Your microbladed eyebrows will last for as long as you maintain them (follow aftercare instructions).Usually 1 to 2 years.

The procedure takes about 2 hours, most of the time is spent going over colors and drawing eyebrow shapes depending on what results you are looking for. Please allocate 2.5 hours for your appointment. In rare cases you will need that much time but this is not a procedure you want rushed.

We take every precaution necessary to ensure the micro-pigmentation application is as pain free as possible. A medical grade anesthetic is used for your comfort. Some clients find the procedure a little uncomfortable and other clients report no discomfort at all. A combination of 2 anesthetics are used, first, a topical numbing cream and then a local anesthetic is introduced.

There is absolutely no downtime with microblading. You will experience mild redness and swelling that should resolve itself after about an hour. You may resume your daily activities immediately after the procedure.

DO NOT TOUCH your microbladed brows for at least 7 to 10 days! Touching your brows disrupts the healing process and will prevent you from achieving your desired results. No tanning or prolonged sun exposure; no picking or peeling the tattoo, no scratching or scrubbing.

Your artist went through a full shaping session that you signed off on prior to beginning your procedure. You chose the shape and style together according to your facial symmetry.

Please remember: Microblading will not always provide instant satisfaction after the first session! Microblading is a process and your skin can only take so much, we are limited to only three passes per eyebrow. Excessive bleeding will prevent pigment retention.

Yes, all clients need a patch test at least 48 hours before the procedure.

Your brows may be a little swollen, red or a bit white. This is all very normal. They will be considerably darker for the first week, before they begin to fade out to a softer color.

Human skin has the ability to regenerate itself approximately every 27 days. It is the largest organ of the body and consists of two main layers, the dermis and epidermis. Regeneration occurs on the epidermal layer. Considering this process any permanent makeup coloration implanted in to the skins layers will change over time but this natural fading process takes years and touch ups are easily done as your colors fade.

Microblading is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Microblading is not recommended if you are under the age of 18, pregnant, nursing, have epilepsy, cold, flu have shingles, psoriasis, if you have diabetes, glaucoma, skin diseases such as Shingles, psoriasis or eczema on the area of treatment, allergies to makeup, Keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer, hemophilia, or if you’re taking skin medications like ro-accutaine and steroids. If you are undergoing chemotherapy, have a pacemaker or have a major heart problem. *We do not provide microblading for people: under 18 years old, pregnant or nursing, if you have diabetes, glaucoma, skin diseases such as Shingles, psoriasis or eczema on the area of treatment, allergies to makeup, Keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer, hemophilia, or if you’re taking skin medications like ro-accutaine and steroids. Please read our complete Terms and Conditions.

In the first 7 days, you’ll need to avoid getting them wet, working out or wearing brow makeup. Read more on Aftercare here. It takes about 30 days to completely heal, in which time you may experience mild scabbing. Eyeliner and lip service will be swollen for 2 days after treatment.

Stay out of the sun and water while your microblading heals. Avoid chlorine, exfoliation creams, and sun exposure; they may cause your color to fade. We recommend applying a small amount of A&D ointment twice a day.

We recommend getting permanent makeup first, or ask your Juvederm specialist for clearance.

Another factor to consider is oily skin; if your skin is excessively oily, you may not be a candidate for microblading. Is your artist cleaning your skin to remove excess oil prior to beginning treatment?

I hate having to use brow stencils, fillers, pencils, markers, tints…etc. It’s such a waste of my time but my eyebrows would only grow half way so what’s a girl to do? Well, I did some research about microblading and decided  to attend a microblading grand opening event.
Turns out I was the lucky winner of a free microblading session and requested to only do half of my brows because I have “zero” pain tolerance and I mean ZERO. Dermis was so confident, knowledgeable and patient that she helped reduce my anxiety and I decided to proceed to do my full brows. (she also made sure to use a medical grade topical anesthetic)
Dermis measures and analyzes your brow structure and symmetry of your face so that the final product doesn’t just meet the standards.  For anyone still wary of the process, I recommend a free consultation, you’ve got nothing to lose 🙂
